What happened ?

What is happening to the game I love and breath for. First off the Marlins are being kicked out of the stadium for U2 to play. Now the Mets and Dodgers are in need of some cash. The Mets are selling 25% of stake in the company. What else is going to happen the Orioles win the east? Kansas City goes to the World Series? I think not to both those questions. Baseball used to be king of the sports. Please tell me what is wrong here? I am disappointed in owners a GM's with their foolish handling of my game and our National Pastime. That is my take what is yours?

  1. You can thank the Yankee's, Redsox, Cubs and Rangers (lately) for this.

  2. What with their over spending of players!!?? Well in 2001 the Rangers GM Hart at the time fell in love with a lil known player called Alex Rodriguez and gave into Scott Borus (who by the way is ruining Baseball)and gave A Rod $252 million. which changed the economics of the game tremendiously. Now every player who has multiple years of stats like A Rod are looking for that money. In doing so it is costing clubs and Owners to take a big look at their franchises and either sell it all or get rid of great players to continue onward. We as fans are getting hosed with higher ticket prices and black out of games on TV or having to buy sports packages to watch the most amazing game I have ever known.
